Candace Claire Brown nasceu em Boston, nos Estados Unidos e aos cinco anos mudou-se para Espanha. Enquanto viveu na Europa Candy frequentou salões de alta costura como Oscar de La Renta, Balenciaga, Givenchy e Dior. Neste período observou com atenção vestidos de baile sendo confeccionados para as festas da aristocracia da época. Assim nasceu sua fascinação pelo mundo da moda.

Em 1977 Candy abriu sua primeira loja, New York, na Rua Oscar Freire em São Paulo que durante uma década, vestiu mulheres de vanguarda de sua geração. 

Em 2000, ela abriu sua própria marca chamada Candy Brown Habilèes.

Candace Claire Brown was born in Boston, and at the age of 5 moved to Madrid. While living in Europe, she attended the grand halls of fashion as that of Oscar de La Renta, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Christian Dior. She had the privilege of intimately observing ball gowns being made for the aristocracy and thus was born her fascination with the haute couture world

In 1977 she opened her first store "New York" on the fashionable Oscar Freire street, in São Paulo, where for a decade dressed the avant-guard women of her generation. In the year 2000, she opened her own brand Candy Brown Habilèes.

 

 

Giulia Brown Alterio formou-se pelo Instituto Europeu de Design, "IED" como designer de moda. Diante as mudanças do mercado e ao novo ritmo de vida da mulher contemporânea, uniu-se a sua mãe Candy e em 2012 lançou a linha de vestidos prontos da marca, sob a premissa de manter a mesma qualidade e acabamentos dos vestidos únicos do Atelier, e atender a um público mais jovem além de trazer frescor para as clientes já fiéis ao atelier.

Giulia Brown Alterio graduated from IED, European Institute of Design in 2011. Mindful of the contemporary lifestyle women are living and the fast changing fashion industry, Giulia joined her mother Candy Brown and lauched a new prêt a porter line for the atelier, aiming to bring a fresh young vibe to ther longtime already loyal clients, maintaining the same high quality the brand is known for.
